Killin' time

What do you do on a Sunday (when you can't really go anywhere) and the husband hasn't slept for over 30 hours and really needs a little shut eye?

Have a picnic after Church!

So the picnic started out GREAT! Then we went to feed the ducks.

There is a reason you do not were church clothes to a yucky sandy man made lake that people fish in ducks and dogs swim play and of course poop in.

nothing like getting a great twirl in on a poopy sandy beach! KB loves to dance

Luckily the kiddos weren't as grossed out as I was and just had a great time!

In the end it was great, just a little disgusting at times.

Sorry for the poor picture quality I've been playing around with the manual functions on my camera and well I can't really figure out what I changed and what needs to be changed so the pictures aren't so grainy with wierd coloring :) any suggestions?

WHY?

Buster asks why constantly (I know it is what my little guy is supposed to do, but his sister never did) anyway I was cracking up the other day when not even he could answer his question why. Overheard Conversation Buster had with himself (okay really the horsey's he was playing with had this conversation). I do love (parenthesis ) even when they aren't appropriate.

Horsey #1: Why
Horsey #2: Because it is blue
Horsey #1: Why
Horsey #2: Because it is
Horsey #1: Why because, see it is blue
Horsey #2: Why
Horsey #1: I don't know why, why, why (he said that with a very exasperated tone)

You gotta love the logical imagination of a little boy!

Monkey see monkey do

KB has always been an amazing tree climber! Well this winter (although it was mainly spent inside) proved to give her some conditioning to climb higher than ever before. Not only can she climb higher but she can now climb up trees that are missing lower branches ( I swear she is part monkey) Our Back fence is another fabulous thing to climb and swing on. Because of this tonight I counted 30 slivers between her two hands. The problem is that before you touch her she screams that you are hurting her! Oh the drama! I guess I never thought I'd look at a sliver and have to make the decision if it is worth the psychological toll it will take to pull it out. Some make the cut and well others don't! Kate has also discovered the joy of a back patio art gallery.

Now Buster not being able to be out shined has also proven to learn how to climb trees. Two weeks ago he could not do it on his own and now look at him!

We sure do love our little monkeys even if they can do more pull-ups than their mama!
