DEEP Thoughts

KB: Mom I'm worried that Santa might not be able to get here.

MOM: Why

KB: Well he only has a sleigh with no wheels, that's why it needs to snow

MOM: that is a great thought, the Great thing about Santa is his sleigh is magical it flies and can drive on snow, sleet, water, road, dirt or anything else it needs to

KD: HMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Maybe it did die

That sweet little one that pulled up a chair for the other sweet one has decided chivalry is overrated and instead he will show his affections by kicking her and sitting on her head whenever she watches a movie and for the whole time, if we'd allow it. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I liked chivalry better:)

Oh and then when he is out of time out he gives you this look! BOY oh BOY what to do but smile and try the next minute when he goes straight back to the girls head.

p.s I love that nobody brought it to my attention that I spelled chivalry wrong twice in the last post

Chivalry is not DEAD

Today this little boy left the kitchen table went to the living room and pushed a chair to the table

For this little girl without even being asked

P.S. Chivalry is not DEAD!

A Fairy a Horse and a Heiselt

Halloween Highlights

(this may look like Heiselt but it is Buster when he was Heiselts age)

Heiselt was supposed to be this (the lion above) for Halloween but he opted out of dressing up so instead he was . . .

Spirits Side Kick

Which leads me to buster! He was Spirit the Horse

Although he may look like a cowboy riding a horse, he was not. You see he has a little obsession with horses especially Spirit so trust us that is what he was :) Unfortunately Spirit kept thinking his front legs belonged to him and fell about 20 times by the 5th house and that is when Spirit became a cowboy in comfy pants!

KB was a Purple Fairy, and more importantly figured out the joy of running from house to house to rake in AS MUCH CANDY AS POSSIBLE! Finally no more smelling the roses and some fine candy hoarding going on! Now if only the boys would catch on
We had a great time out our Wards Trunk or Treat Followed by Trick or treating with some friends in their neighborhood close to the church!

We giggled at the families we passed pulling their cooler of Wine with them as they watched their kids Trick or Treat!

Swifty was Superman, and me a witch. We had a great time!

Pumpkins

Well our Pumpkin patch wasn't quite as farm like as we are used to but we had a blast picking out pumpkins this year. Buster not sure he is strong enough to carry his pumpkin but with some assurance and prodding he realized. . .

He was indeed strong enough HOORAY!
OOh do you see that cool blue pumpkin, I've always wanted a blue pumpkin but alas I couldn't talk anyone else into it!
KB sitting on the perfect pumpkin so nobody else takes it

KB realizing the perfect pumpkin was quite big but she was determined to get it to the pay stand by herself. Once she puts her mind to it there is no turning back

Hieselt is so happy to have something new to climb on he loved the piles of pumpkins
I think those white and orange ones are way cute too! I've never seen one like that have you? The family informed me if we were to get a cool different one they would choose the one with all the warts on it, we decided to go with regular ole' pumpkins
I LOVE PUMPKINS especially my little Punkins!

Safety

My kids are sooooooooooo lucky, they have the greatest grandparents, aunts. uncles, and cousins. I don't talk about them much on here because we don't get to see them much. Although I know we are exactly where we are supposed to be and loving the experiences we are having I am always a little touched when we go home and I see how much my children are LOVED! While visiting Family this time we had a HUGE baby shower for Swifty's oldest brother and his wife. For a small moment during the party I lost track of my two biggest children (who do not love big crowds especially big crowds full of big people that they do not know). Lucky for them they were saved by Swifty's youngest brother. Just a moment from when my search for them began it ended with this picture.

Thanks Uncle Boy for saving us and finding WALDO!

Aviation Museum

We have a quaint little airplane museum here and lucky for us admission is free during National Aviation week. Buster was ticked that I wanted a picture with him and Hieselt. I'm glad I didn't pay because Buster only wanted to eat his PB&J and Hieselt was happy sitting in this wooden airplane! In fact I'm not even sure if we saw the whole museum

Home bodies

AHHHHHHHHHHHH! I always think I am NOT a home body my family is. I have to say I love days or moments like this at HOME more than anything. Times that make me feel content and happy. Times that I know this is what life is supposed to be.

creek labor day

On Labor Day we had a BBQ with some friends from our ward at this great little park. It had a fantastic little creek that the kids thoroughly enjoyed as you can see. I don't love heiselt more he is just the only kid that hasn't learn to duck or run when mom has the camera :)

black and orange

Nope we didn't dress up for Halloween 2 Months early

The elementary school celebrates the High schools school spirit day. WEIRD HUH!?

I was impressed that on a Whim we had orange and black to wear

Playgroup

If you lived where we live this may be what you would do for playgroup
Drive 10 minutes through a typical suburban city
continue the drive for 8 more minutes through a long winding foresty road
Listen to the boys sing in the back of the car
Try not to think about how sad it is that Swifty has yet to be able to come to our beach
Try not to think about the fact that KB is going to be very upset to know she went to school and we went to the BEACH
Park
Get out of the Car
put on Sunscreen, swim diaper on baby Hieselt (who really is not a baby anymore), make sure we have a camera
walk down the sidewalk
run in the sand get to the water and. . .
STOP!
Come back to the bag and get your floaties
If your a toddler with kind of scrawny arms and a big brother that thinks once you have floaties on you know how to swim so Moms excuse that she needs to stay close to you wont work you for go the floaties and run straight in the water only once you see a ball that needs rescuing of course

Once your in you love the water and even dare to jump, run, and sit in it

of course you will get board and will find a watering can to fill with water

which wold mean that you would need to dump it out and let your mom take her token picture, with 1970 quality lighting, of you dumping it ( wherever there is water and a bucket this is the only shot you can get of Buster)

Of course you will be very sad when it is time to put the watering can and the ball in the bag and go home
pack up, tag team with other moms so you can get your stuff to the car and let the kids play in the water a little longer.
chase the little ones away from the water more than 3 times in order to get them going the right way
Change into real diapers and clothes in the car and fall asleep on the way home

Disclaimer: if you don't live here you can always visit

FAIRIES

What do you do with your cut off tree branches?

We made a fairy house!

S-M-R-T!

Not only did I have my little girl home for three days but Swifty also had all 3 days. With our luck did we go some place AMAZING? Well, no, we hit the BUTTER BEAN FESTIVAL on Saturday it actually had some fun things such as carnival rides, camel rides, a greased pig contest ( ordinary pigs are stinky but an ordinary pic greased up in Crisco and hot sun is really stinky), and some fun jewelry and crafts that KB and I really wanted. Because our kids are the proud owners of two parents with college educations who in the rush of the morning looked at each other and made a logical decision that a credit card would be sufficient at the small town craft fair we got to look at all these fun activities. OOPS :) we had a good time anyway, plus we made sure we hit a place on the way home that does take plastic.

OUT

KB has had a loose tooth (her second) for a few days but she hasn't really talked about it and you don't even see it really wiggle. This morning as we were very late getting out the door for school I yell KB lets go. I feel bad rushing her knowing she is brushing her teeth and do you really rush that? Needless to say we were LATE. Next thing I know she comes running out with pure excitement, no frustration that I am rushing her, and says mom I just lost my tooth. I said while brushing your teeth and she says no after. when I asked her what happened she tells me I was sick of it wiggling so I just pulled it out. WOW, I used to wait until that tooth was hanging on by one little root strand and even then food had to knock it out. I wish I was more like her, in fact when I grow up I wanna be just like her!

Lemonade

Today on the way home from school KB and the neighbor girl we walk home with decided to make a lemonade stand. Keep in mind KB has never made a lemonade stand, in fact I don't think I have ever made a lemonade stand. So when we got home we made lemonade, got a bin taped some paper to it and my kindergartner wrote LEMONADE .25 after she made her sign and put on her dress up she giggled and said. . .
This is going to be the BEST Lemonade stand I've ever done.

I guess it was a good thing we had NO standard to rise above. Tee Hee, don't you just love her!

1st day of School

August 11th was KB's first day of school! I can not believe she is in Kindergarten and I can not believe she goes ALL DAY! I tell myself everyday how lucky I am to have had an extra year with her. Although I am not ready for this ride and dictation of my life, she is. KB is loving school and when she is home she is soooooooooooooo much happier to be here it is great! Here she is on the first day I am not sure she is fully awake yet.

Walking to the car with her rest mat...

... and her lunch box! She had picked a different backpack and then one day at target as we were getting her school supplies she saw this lunch box and said mom hold on go back to the other isle, so I did and she says that blue backpack I LUV it, and it has a lunchbox to go with it, with a water bottle. So we went with the matching lunchbox and backpack, I mean how could you not?

In the car on the way to school! I think she is a little nervous

KB and I really lucked out (notice I did not say Swifty) on the first day of school because Swifty got really sick. Since dad was sick and home in bed anyway, I put a movie on for the boys (that way Swifty really could rest) and I took KB to school. It was just the two of us. When we got to school I noticed that all of the parents had parked and walked their kids in so I did too. I tried to get more pictures but KB asked me to leave the camera in the car because it embarrasses her, can you do that at 6 years old? So I left it in the car and took her in. I sat and talked to her and some other kids in the class while they waited at their table. When it was time to go to class she asked if I could walk her to class so I said I could walk her to the door and then I would need to leave she said great. It was so hard not to cry, BUT I didn't, at least not until I got to the car. We missed her this week, but my boys are much calmer without her around, and it has been fun to spend a little more one on one time with them. Now for the life when weekends mean something special!

Flower of LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE

Since becoming a mother I have often wondered why you don't see dandelions used more in Wedding bouquets? Granted there is the fact that it is a weed and the fact that they are droopy almost minutes after being picked. That being said, I think they should be used much, much more. Why you ask because at my house they are the flower of LOVE. Here is my argument as to why they are the flower of LOVE!
Someone as young as this little guy can feel the pure joy that is transmitted by a Dandelion

I think I get a bouquet at least once a day while they are around and they don't have a very long season so they could be considered rare ( at least for most seasons :)

Its easy to share the seeds if you can't blow hard enough picking the seeds and watching them blow works too

Pure Joy to just run amongst them

See they do make pretty bouquets

So for any of you wedding planners or if your getting married I suggest a Dandelion :)!
