So BIG!
This SWEET little thing is TROUBLE! 10.5 months and she loves toilets, toilet paper, cat food, my cell phone, and pencils, her favorite is a pencil in her hand while she is walking! Man we gotta be quick to keep this girl safe. At around 6.5 months she observed her siblings sliding down the stairs on their stomachs and very quickly taught herself how to go down all by herself, there has to be some benefit to being the youngest of 5! She is walking yes at 10.5 months not just a little roam around furniture, she walks almost exclusively. She says Addy for daddy and Mummm for mom. She loves to mimic and laugh. She loves to be upside down. She cries almost all day unless she is being held. She is a picky eater but getting better. She is adored by us all. We are soooooooooo lucky she is part of our family.

new years
New Years was soooo fun! Swifty was on call the day after so instead of having a big ole shindig we had a lil' ole shindig with our little posse. We had a yummy dinner of party foods. We played the Wii (unfortunately the only picture we got from our Wii U tournament was of my bum during just dance 4, nope not gonna show that one)
We played other games too. We loved the ones with the Balloons.
We called our grandparents, we set the clocks ahead so we could still be in bed by 9:00, our kids had no idea! We were just the awesome parents that let them stay up until midnight. We aren't so old that we can't stay up until midnight, you see it is more a matter of thinking ahead and being prepared. Swifty was on call on New Years Day and I wanted it to be a fun day, so when you consider those things staying up until midnight seems like a ridiculous idea! Finally to end the night right we celebrated the new year with some silly string!
Swifty actually got caught in some crossfire this year! That never happens :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I love this group of people and the 2 others not shown. They make my life better than I could have ever imagined it!
Snow
Things you may not here from a seven year old that has not spent most of his memorable days in the South
C: daddy daddy! I must saw someone mowing their lawn with snow on it!
S: that's not a lawn mower that is called a snow blower
C: oh and he runs back out to play
Love it!!

The grass is always greener. . .
This year was the first year my dream came true!! Since I had children I have dreamed about the Halloween I got to stay home sans kids and pass out candy. I could be in my warm little house with peace and quiet for just a moment after the chaos of getting everyone in costume and out the door with all the appropriate buckets and lights they will need to safely and effectively collect their loot. I would see all the cute little kids dressed up and pass out candy while chomping on my own in between trick or treaters. I have never been able too until now, this year I did it, I stayed home and while Swifty took all the kids out trick or treating. I was in my warm little house with peace and quiet for about twenty seconds before I realized I was lonely. I missed the joy of watching my sweet children run from house to house. I missed walking along with the one that is straggling behind. I missed chatting with my husband and neighbors while we strolled along, and I missed being cold enough when they got home that I want to have any hot chocolate with the trick or treaters. So I guess the grass is not always greener, and next year we will leave a bowl on the door step and I will go trick or treating!

Sunrise
This morning as I am trying to get kids ready for the day Hyrum comes running in the kitchen jumping up and down in excitement. He had just discovered a sunrise for the very first time ever!! He quickly got his blankie and went out to sit on the back porch to enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Ellie came out and look what happened next. . . . She was cold so Hyrum opened his blanket and she plopped herself down.
All of these kids have a special bond in one way or another. I am not sure if I am more thankful for a beautiful sunrise that reminded my family to slow down and enjoy the beauty all round or the beauty in seeing my children loving and caring for each other. Both are sweet, sweet blessings this morning.

Life
We were driving home from church today and heiselt wanted a butterfly he made at church, it was a clothespin with a Baggie and the Baggie had chocolate kisses in it. I could not reach it, so the screaming began. Once we tried to empathize with him he got angrier next thing we know it was raining in our car! He threw a whole water bottle from the back all the way to the front!

sisters
It has been so fun having my little homebodies at home, and considering I am getting clumsier by the day, feeling huge and not all that happy to move, I am so thankful these little bodies prefer to be home playing together and doing art projects. Onto another note the other day KB and I were painting her nails and little bean was so curious about it all. A few hours later I was cooking dinner and when I walked into the living room I saw this. . .
Sisters, always good to have one no matter the age difference
